If I'm going to be part of one of the most significant days of your life, it's only fair that you get to know a bit about me. I love fashion, music, movement and choreography. So naturally, I froth music videos.

I'm partial to a serious night's dancing. I love taking photos. Mostly of people and places. In incredible light. People-watching is a hobby in itself. I love typography and appreciate curated spaces.

Being from New Zealand, I grew up outdoors. I'm in awe of nature and fascinated by how little we know about how the world really works (yes - I've done aliens and Egypt deep-dives). I shot my first wedding in 2013 when I was at film school, and since then, Florence and Friends has allowed me to have the best of all worlds by bringing together my background in cinematography and my love of film, design, and fashion. I don't think of myself as a "wedding videographer" but a filmmaker who documents your day in a way that's uniquely yours. I think the real romance is in the little things: the quiet understanding between two people, the inside jokes that make up a shared language. While I adore capturing the glitz and glam of a wedding, I never forget what it's all really about - people in love, surrounded by their favourite humans, and the courageous, beautiful promise of "I choose you".

My intention when documenting each wedding is to capture the genuine beauty of the day. I believe so much of being a good filmmaker is paying attention - being a calm but playful presence, someone you want around, who lets you be you. I believe that being a friend is the key to documenting your day - not just how it looks, but how it feels. That's where the magic happens, and I'd love to be there to catch it.

When I'm not filming weddings, you'll find me working on my personal photography and film projects, the kind that occasionally end up in European film festivals and make my mother finally believe this career choice wasn't entirely reckless.
