THE VIBE
If you feel like yourself, the rest takes care of itself. That's the whole thing. You can't fake ease in front of a camera. Being a good photographer is one skill. Reading a room and knowing when to step in or disappear is another. So before anything else, my job is making sure you and your people feel comfortable with me in the room.
I'm there from the start. From the moment someone's YouTubing how to tie a tie and your mum's already crying over her double shot oat flat white and asking why no one thought to buy a cucumber. And I'm still there at the end. On the dance floor, in the pool, helping someone's tequila-infused aunt out of the photobooth. I never miss a beat.
I know how much has gone into this day. Every detail carefully thought about over late night glasses of wine with your besties, your mum, and the colleague from work who keeps bringing up her own wedding from 1972. I take that seriously.
I'm not a fly on the wall. I'm in the day with you. Laughing at your uncle's third run at the same joke. Sorting a buttonhole that's hanging by a thread. Giving direction when a moment needs shape. But when the room is doing its thing, you'll forget I'm there. And I'll be right there in the heart of the action for the next shot.
