I’m Ash Florence, the filmmaker behind Florence and Friends.
Based in London, filming everywhere. I work with couples across the UK and internationally—from intimate city ceremonies to multi-day destination celebrations in Italy, France, and beyond. I'd love you to leave all preconceptions about wedding imagery at the door. I'm all about crafting you a film you're utterly obsessed with - cinematic frames bursting with all your unique, wild, beautiful, funny, real people. Not drawn-out slow-motion shots. Killer sound design that dances with the emotion of your day. Not a cheesy love song. And no big dick gadgets; I move through your day with your people, subtly and with a documentary approach. While I love a perfectly styled moment, my heart belongs to the unguarded laughter, the quiet tears, and the spontaneous dance floor moves that make your wedding uniquely yours. My intention when documenting each wedding is to capture the genuine beauty of the day. I believe so much of being a good wedding videographer is paying attention - knowing what to notice, seeing something special in what could be perceived as ordinary, all while being a grounded but playful presence on the day, someone you want around, who lets you be you. That's where the magic happens, and I'd love to be there to catch it.

We were incredibly lucky to have Ash as our videographer for our wedding on Waiheke. My husband was initially on the fence about a video, thinking photos would suffice, but something about a video really captures the feeling on the day. Ash is so clever with how her videos do just that. I was also chuffed that she managed to include particularly special people without any brief whatsoever. Many people commented they barely noticed she was there - she really is so good at her craft. Professional and a delight to work with from start to finish.
